I'm new to the game but have played Civ for years (since day 1 of Civ 1). here are some thoughts. And this is not a bash I love the game haven’t stopped playing sine I opened it yesterday.
The save game dialog is awful and most times for me it crashed to the desktop. I can only quick save
Getting the mini map to show what I want it to show is tough. I cant just center it on a ship all the time. I need to fully expand it then move to my ship then minimize it.
when I have a constructor created I usually tell it to go right to a space station. I might have 4 constructors at any time on autopilot to a station. when the "would you like to update this station" comes up I never know what station it is. Station IS2003 does not help it would be nice to be able to focus the mini map on that location.
if you zoom all the way out your current ship is no longer visibly selected you can only see it selected if you zoom in. Its very tough on a busy map to track stuff.
I was surprised ships either win or lose no damage takes place. That was a bummer for me.
For the most part all my issues are with the maps. Not being able to easily track ships or figure out who else I have to move or where they are. The find key does not really center both maps or if it does again it does not show the unit as selected unless you zoom in. For a turn based game my wrist is killing me from all the mouse moving to get the map where I need it.
