Petition for a "true" planetary governor and a better colony interface

I hereby ask for a true planetary governor who will not only upgrade buildings but also build facilities.
Nice would be choice like a "tech-governor" orientated governor "economic governor" and so on.
A default choice that all new colony ships appoint a default governor would be even better.
At the moment i really dread colonising a lot of planets because always when i land i have to select the facilities tu build.
Especially when Galactic wonders or similiar buildings clog the list
i have to scroll the screen for each facility to build.
This a very tedious and BORING affair and thefore you should consider adding an option to enter the ammount of basic buildings to construct directly like:
build 3 factories 2 farms and he 10 research centers.
or 3 factories 2 farms and the rest resaerch centers...

Thank

yeah i can see it is much fun to build late in the game:
Scroll down select factory , build it, scroll down select factory build it, scroll down select.... ARGH
Another option would be to be allowed to build 10 buildings at a time:

I suggest to improve the building interface by allowing the player to
1)Select the Colonybuilding (i.e. factories)
2)Enter how many factories to build (or a percentage of free building space if you like).

3)Furthermore a real planet governor who build by himself would be nice (militaristic economic scientific....)

Yes you wouldn't place them optimally at ressources but still much better than: scroll down, build factory, scroll down build factory, scroll down......
i think you get the idea

An new colony build list would be nice. I've played other on-line games with a customizable starting list for new colonies and it's nice in that it lets you get back to gameplay quicker, esp if you have a couple of planet blooms (where a whole bunch of new planets become habitable and there is a race to get them.

Make sure you have the newest build...when a improvement is placed the list no longer resets, which seems to be a big part of your frustration.

As for the advanced governors feature, past 1.2 all updates will basicially bug fixes, so you won't find it creeping into an update version anytime soon.

Now an expansion on the other hand....

I agree with Jude's customizable starting list idea, although it'd probably be a little tricky since you would not only have to pick the buildings, but also which tiles they should be built on. I suppose you could just have them placed automatically in what are the best squares (first factories go on squares with production bonuses, etc). But there would probably be exceptions, such as you may not always want to build a farm on a square with a +300% food bonus, as that might give you too much population to keep happy. Or, you might want to build fewer than the usual number of farms because the first one got built on a big bonus square.

if you do not want micromanagement why choice a TBS in the first place?

Another option would be to be allowed to build "X" buildings at a time

now that would be very useful on the other hand....

If the list stayed scrolled that would help. So you just scroll down once, then double click on factory (or whatever you're building) repeatedly until you have enough.

I agree to some extent. Just some AI controlled governor (can be turned on/off at any point in game) that will build strucutures towards your empire's needs. This can be annoying when your playing a large or gigantic galaxy, when your colonizing dozens upon dozens of planets a turn. It should be basic things to, if the planet has a low morale/approval rating the governor builds an entertainment structure. If theres a lack of influence points, the govenor builds an embassy or something. To be more specific, if you choose you can tell the governor to specify the world as an industrial colony, and that the majority of buildings on the planet should be factories. Same thing applies for other fields such as research and economy.
