I have a bit of a problem with the size of the galaxies. When I first installed the game, I played a quick game on a medium size galaxy, and lo, everything was cool, great game.
However, I decided to start another, and my problem begins: I tried a medium-size map, and to my surprise it is much, MUCH smaller than the last one I tried. I didn't change any of the settings, aside from some graphical options (older machine).
The thing is, everything in the game works beautifully, and I have since re-installed, re-patched, etc. and the problem returns. If the galaxy size is small, med, large, etc...none of them are as large as that initial "medium" map I started with...fewer stars, smaller map, and so on.
I have no idea what I did to make this happen, but I'd appreciate a hand here. Great game, otherwise!

Video: Nvidia MX440 (updated all drivers)
System: WinXP SP2 with all bells and whistles
Current changes to default settings in game: none whatsoever.
