AI Civ gets uber Influence

I'm playing along in a huge galaxy with 5 major races still active. When all of a sudden, one species gains insta-uber influence over the entire galaxy (and it's not me, so I'm upset). I have the save game and it takes two turns for the influence to kick in.

Is there anything I can do except go back to very old save game (several hours)?

Just continue playing and things will go back to normal after a few turns. Its basically the start of a galaxy wide revolt by the sounds of things. Some of your planets may revolt in the few turns it takes to go back to fully normal, lower your taxes and keep people happy to try to minimise this.
