I have been trying to play the first scenario of the campaign and have come to a screeching halt because of bugs twice now. It's quite frustrating.
BUG: In the first game I spent all my money upgrading my ships. A while later I noticed all of those upgraded ships had somehow reverted to the original design, but the money was gone. Needless to say I was pretty screwed now as I could no longer win battles. Instead of going way back to an earlier save, I simply started a new game resolving to never again upgrade a ship.
AI Issue: In the second try I rushed to build warships and parked them at each of the opponents worlds. The Drengin would stubbornly build constructors over and over and I would kill them over and over. The AI was brain dead, I probably killed 100 constructors as soon as they were launched. This game was a joke because of this, as I built up while the opponent spent all his efforts on trying to get constructors launched. This is only a minor irritant and not a game killer though...
BUG: After I captured the first two worlds I eventually came to a turn where when I clicked "End Turn" the end turn button would go away and never come back. The interface was all active, it was like the game was stuck in the opponents turn and never returned so I could continue play. I am still in the process of trying to work around this problem (by backing up to old saves and doing different things) because I don't want to restart this campaign mission a THIRD time (assuming the third game would also tank after a lot of time invested).
Are these two problems known bugs (ship upgrades reverting, turns never ending)? Are there any known fixes or workarounds? I very much want to like this game, but game killing bugs aren't helping.
