Help me with crashes

I'm not sure if this problem goes in this catagory becuase I don't know if this is a bug or if this is a crash issue. So, I put the post here and in the general catagory.
I'm kinda new to posting so I'll try to be as detailed as I can....

This crash starts when I load up the dreadlord scenario where I'm defending those idiotic arceans from the yor and the flesh eating freaks. This is the one with the huge map that I forgot the name of. Anyway, I load up the map and after around 20 turns or so I get a crash at the same point each time. I also have a save 3 or 4 turns before the crash.
This crash is reproducible on my computer but I haven't tried to reproduce it on another computer yet. I will also try transferring the save file over and seeing if I get the same error, a different one, or none.
Let me know if anything else is needed.

Were you having crashes before the beta? It is expected to have some crashes with a beta.

It does look like you do have a repeatable crash, so that is useful for Stardock. Does it still crash if you start the scenario over, or only if you continue your save?

I did have a similar crash before the beta version. I updated hoping to get past the problem but it still persisted. I haven't tried starting the scenario over yet although I did reload from the starting save and got the crash at a different point. I was going to try loading the scenario today after work. Unfortunately, I kinda started that with a precursor workshop that boosted my production by 700%....Was kinda hoping to keep that but......I'll try restarting the scenario and see what happens.

-You have two audio devices, try disabling one.
-Update your audio driver dated 2001.
-Try disabling auto-save feature.
-Turn off anti-aliasing setting.
-If your problem is related to the random events happening, I can't help you sorry

I have been having the same issue with the beta patch, the game crashes alot even playing with a different scenario each time. When I reload the same scenario it crashes at different points as mentioned above. The extras the patch added to the game are great, too bad it crashes though

Hey thanks for the advice about the game. I kinda didn't get home until late so I couldn't try them until just recently. That is the updated audio driver for my card unfortunately....they haven't come out with a new one yet. I restarted the scenario and I haven't had a crash yet. I'm wondering if this could be because the save file was one from before the patch. I'm not exactly sure though. But it works now and in the error log it has no problems destroying ships and updating so I guess it's all good now. Anyway, I'll post again if I run into more problems.

As a general rule, just expect all of your saves to be corrupted when you upgrade to a new version (patch). If you are in the middle of a game, finish it up or abandon it before patching.
