Will GalCivII run on my laptop?

My gaming computer is down, but I do have a laptop with a p4 2.4, 512 ram, and an ATI 345M IGP video card that sucks up 64mb of system ram. I'm guessing the minimum requires are a video card with 32mb of dedicated ram? Will this system be able to run Galciv II?

There's a demo coming out in a couple of days. Try it and see.

Your specs aren't to much different then my thinkpad and it runs okay. I get the occasional slow down when ships explode but its still very playable.

I think playability on laptops is tied heavily into whether or not you can get up to date drivers for your graphics card. Try running dxdiag from your Run... command line and post that info here. I would assume that as long as you have current drivers and meet the minimum specs, you can run the game. Note that DirectX 9.0c compatibility is a minimum req.

There are many video options (to reduce eye candy) you can play with to allow it to run smoothly on older hardware.
