Frustrating crashes when winning

I haven't been able to actually win a game since early Beta 3. Every time I get into a winning position the game crashes - saving every turn only creates a point where the crash is isolated. This is more than a little frustrating and I was wondering if everybody is having this problem or just those running ME or just me! If I'm losing the game plays to completion!

I am running ME and SmartException works for me. I have gotten many crashes and SE gave nice reports that I was able to give to SD. So far on 4A I have yet to have a crash. If you don't have SE installed and working I would strongly suggest it because the data it provides about a crash is SO often criticall to getting the error causing the crash fixed. I will look for the thread in the forum archives that has the link to SE for you and pop it up if I can find it.

Arrrggg. Fredrik Jaccobson's search for galciv archives is not working and he is on vacation.

Can someone at Stardock find the thread with the current url for SE and pop it back up out of the archives? Thanks.

SmartException DOES NOT work on my machine for some reason. Cari and I have had 2 or 3 sessions of bugs where we've tried to get it to work to help otu with no luck!
