DOWNLOAD/INSTALL PROBLEM

I bought the game a few days ago and have not been able to install it. The problem I have is that Stardock central (ver 2.30c() downloads the game file and then starts downloading the same file again. The file gc2.sdc. I have let it run and watched it download the same file 8 times..

Does anyone know how to fix this problem.. or is there another way to d/l the game.. I emailed Stardock support two days ago and havn't had a reply..

PLEASE LET ME KNOW THE ANSWER, TOO! I am stuck again and again and again trying to download the movie pack. IT WON'T RESUME. 24 hours I've been trying, 12 with non-beta StarDock Central, 12 with the beta. Restart, restart, restart, restart. HELP! I've tried California, Chicago, and '4' (whatever server that is), all the same.

What are the last few lines in the log file when it fails?

What anti-virus are you running, sometimes they wind up locking the files before the extraction can proceed.

I have tried it with all antivirus disabled.. any other ideas?

whats odd.. is other software on stardock central works.. I d/l updates to my Galciv I and Altarian Prophecy, and they both d/l and installed fine.. I also have a pretty clean system these days because I use my pc for work.. so there is nothing odd installed or running..

Can you please email over the installation log file to [email protected]

It should be located at: C:\Program Files\Stardock\SDCentral\Installed\gc2.log

We have found the problem here. One of the files didn't sync and it was failing its integrity check. Anytime after 2pm EST today, you should be all set.
