Only bought the game today so bear with me on this, i have a amd64 X2 2.0ghz processor, 1024mb of ram, and a GV-3D1 graphics card, (gigibyte special Dual 6600GT on a single board, running in SLI).Installed the game, then installed stardock central (for the patches/updates). first problem was updating the movie files, it would read up to like 180% completed??? Then id get a popup telling me the extraction failed and the files where deleted.Fixed this problem pretty quick by manually downloading the limited edtion updates and running them. Next was the First time CTD, as somone else reported in thier post. Tried running again and everything was fine. Now for the real problem!!!!! For reasons i have yet to find out, (hence post) all my in game animations, starship 3D models, The little spinning globe in the top left corner of the planet map,(the one where you place your built structures) etc, start spinning when i enter the page, but then get faster and faster and faster till its making me dizzy! I also get graphics gliches when scrolling on the map(very jumpy skippy). I do have all the latest drivers installed and all updates for the game.I thought my mouse software could be causing the problem (microsoft intellimouse optical) so i stopped the process, but still no joy! PLEASE HELP!!! Cant wait to enjoy this game by the animation problem makes it almost impossible. Thanks for your time!!
P.S- R.E DOH!!!! submit post. browse forum for approx 27sec, locate thread, AMD 64 Dual core users need driver update,funny animations may be present! How stupid do i feel!!Although i did have a look around before posting and didnt see this one. Havent tried it yet,(downloading latest driver now), but im guessin this ones fixed! YEA!!!! HAPPY GALCIV'in ALL!!
