I just bought the game yesterday and I've played a few singleplayer games. I've constructed military bases, influence bases, and trade bases.

I also decided it'd be valuable to research some starbase techs so I can build modules. The tech says it will unlock a "so-an-so" module so I research it but when i click on my starbase it still has nothing for me to build.

Are the starbases gimped or am I inept? How do I build modules on a starbase?
