patch and cheats

hello all again is there any way to get the patch with out that damn serial number think ( im in the uk!!)!!! is there not a torrent or somthin out there.

and how do i get the cheats to work? iv tryed that "C:\Program Files\Stardock\TotalGaming\GalCiv2\GC2Launch.exe" cheat but it dosent work?? ctrl and r for tech tree and stuff dosent work eather.

im also a noob at this game so dose it take so long to get to the end of a thing? god it takes ages but still good fun thou

and sorry for miss spelling stuff im in a rush

Well, you can get the proper serial number here:

https://www.galciv2.com/paradox/

As for cheats, you need to create a shortcut to GalCiv2.exe (not the launcher) and put cheat at the end of the Target field.
