Got the game, picked human civ & proceeded to build a nice ship using one of the small hulls (after appropriate research). Built some of these babies for that game, too (still got a save game for this session). Later on, I get the game update. Playing a new game and basically want to build the same ship again, but when I research the tech for small hulls, the game won't give me that hull option anymore! Got the other two hulls, but not the one I had used before.

After snooping around here some, I see that the CE version has some extra hull designs (?), so, maybe I somehow originally got some extra options that the patch 'fixed'? I bought the game directly from Stardock over the internet (downloaded it); did that method of purchase get me some extra goodies that have somehow 'disappeared' post-patch?
