Feature request

I would like to be able to record a build sequence for improvements or, at the very least, tell a planet "Do like that other planet."

Also, please provide a way to annotate star maps so that resources and good planets are easier to fid.

Thanks for a great game!

Also, The "that was a waste of time" message for anomalies with no bonuses is repetitive. There should be more than one description for non-event anomalies.

Skillen,

Did you look at the "governers" in the diplomacy screen? You can assign four governers their own unique lists of social projects. Then from the planet view click the "details" button to get the planet detail screen. On that screen you can select which of the four governors you want to control the social projects for that planet (the default is "Mr. Ford").

There is an outstanding request for two lists for the right side bar where the planet list and ship list comes up: 1). star systems without colonized planets 2). unclaimed resources. There has been no time or release promised for when (or if) they will appear, however.

Jack,

I have seen govenors, but I would like a way to quickly duplicate the sequence that I improved one planet and use it on another planet...

So the governors are nothing more than different building ques you can use then?

Grifman,

That is the gist of it.

Jack,

How do you use the governers? I only use one to order the buildings I want build in what order. What other uses can they be used for.

Thanks

Red101,

I have yet to find a use for more than one governor. Maybe someone else has.

Brad,

What I remember from GC/OS2 is that there was only one governor. The way you have named the four governors in GC/Win implies you had something specific in mind. The names seem to imply specific characteristics, but I don't find this very useful. Please share with us what you had in mind.

Jack,
I use more than one governor. Depending on the initial planet quality I use different governors to assign different planet queues. I also sometimes set a governor up for influence build for those planets in enemy controlled sectors.

I usually set up research, industrial and moral governers... and then I assign them to the planets I want for the purpose mentioned...

I"m a bit confused here. Govenrors do exactly what the original poster wants.

There are 4 governors right now so that people can have 4 different queues if they want.

Right now the names are in simply to differenciate one governer from the others (I felt the names "Governor 1" "Governor 2", ect were boring). Perhaps it'd help if you were able to edit the governor's name?

BoogieBac,

That sounds like an excellent suggestion.

Brad,

I'm sure govenors are supposed to do what I want, but maybe I don't understand. They don't seem to match the docs... Also, only generic shows a build order, the rest do not.
