Quick question re: the Iconians & the Yor

According to the Galciv storyline, it was the Iconians who created the Yor. That being the case, i was just wondering why the Yor's home planet is called "Iconia" and the Iconians world is called "New Iconia". Shouldn't this be the other way round?

No. Read the history on the races on the IGN site. The Yor nearly made the Iconians extinct. A few Iconians escaped on huge colony ships and resettled elsewhere.
