Factory Issues

Advanced versions of buildings take too long to build on new colonies.

I'm having a hard time building up my colonies after teching up certain tech trees.

Last game, for example, I went up the tree that gives factory advances rather quickly, and before I knew it, my non-homeworld colonies couldn't get their industry going because they were taking too long to build their initial inustry base.

Is there any way to get them to build the basic factories first, and then upgrade them to the high-tech factories?

just purchase the first factory improvement its only around 968 $

What I do is use the "focus production" on social for new colonies and put the focus on either military or research on old colonies. If the growth is still too slow, then you will have to purchase.

Also, social production isn't working correctly (the civ-wide bonus is not applied), so it takes longer to build than it should.
