Wish I could change the resolution...

I really wish we could change the resolution...my menus are so big on my 1280x768 laptop...is there a "hack" around it? Perhaps by fooling the game into thinking that your desktop resolution is different. Or does it auto-detect the resolution differently?

If you edit the prefs.ini file in Notepad you can set custom resolutions.

Sounds like you need to read the beta documentation. Most of the questions you have been posting are answered if you read the beta docs.
