As of lore of Vasari been written, it is said that the Vasari was facing an extremely powerful enemy with rate of expansion far exceeding the entire Dark Fleet.
If I may to suggest or estimate or approximate, best possible lore to connect with the current lore written in this site might be this.
The expansionary frontier first fleet have moved past the point of beginning of the universe, the theorized Big Bang, where they went across an enormous void in deep space. The scout reported no planets nor asteroids are observable within range of sight and proceeded to go ahead using phased acceleration with permission granted by the main fleet. After weeks went by, the scouts came back with reports stating that they have successfully spotted small galaxy containing asteroids and planets across the void.
With no delay, the first fleet was granted permission to move towards the galaxy with phased acceleration and great reports was expected.
Upon arrival, the first fleet has reached the outermost orbit where they met ice cold planets and asteroid. However, small fragments of the outermost asteroids began to fall into the fleet, as if there is a gravitational attraction was acting between both. In the unexpected event, one of the capital ships of the first fleet rushed forward to the front and was able to stop the trajectory of the fragment with its own shield before it was hitting the frigates. Upon scanning on the asteroid in space, the resident scientists of the first fleet were shocked with fear. The head of department went to query of what it was and questioned them were the asteroids are a threat to the fleet.
With hands trembling, one of the resident scientists said that it was an asteroid made out of pure antimatter thus explaining the reason why it was falling into the fleet was due to natural occurrence that matters and antimatters attracts and fall towards each other through gravity. It is vastly different compared to miniscule harmless positron antimatters that were made in labs within controlled environments and contained in secured container held in place by container force fields, which they used to create immense energy for the use of the fleet. Pure antimatter is different, its existence in space means death to all beings of matter. A simple touch between matter and antimatter will destroy both of them, thus creating violent explosion for each collision of them on subatomic level in the process. What is worse, the antimatter in space is definitely not within controlled environment and any contact with it spells the end to the fleet. Hence, rushing to the front, being able to stop and hold the antimatter asteroid in place with capital ship's shield is just pure luck, coincidence and beyond reckless. The resident scientist then continued in fear, there may beings made of antimatter within the other side of this beginning point of the universe.
The first fleet management unit proceeded to relay the information to the main fleet Veerr and began charging up phase acceleration to prepare for imminent escape.
A squadron that was about to dock, exploded violently, stripping the shield of carrier cruisers at the back side of the fleet. In the midst of the instance of time, which as if seconds felt like minutes, in intense shock, the first fleet is now on high alert and spread out to minimize splash damage of the explosions. Reports came in, the squadrons, which are unshielded, were hit by antimatter fragments.
The carrier cruisers began exploding in consequence, side by side, one by one, where shields were stripped off by immense explosion, and antimatters fell into the vulnerable hull of each ship.
Steering ahead, radars began turning red with detection of incoming unknown presence of an unknown fleet. Hiding within antimatter clouds and gasses, began pushing all antimatter asteroid fragments with antigravity towards the Vasari first fleet. In act of emergency, the main fleet Veerr opened up a phase gate in front of the first fleet that was linked to their own phase gate. The first fleet pushed the acceleration control to maximum possible to jump across amidst violent explosions from each side. With their shields stripped, hulls damaged, only few managed to jump across before the phase gate self-destructs.
In terror, the captains of the first fleet finally lets out the breath they held throughout the terrifying moments.
