Does the ship role matter in GC4 (Capital, escort, interceptor)? If so, please add a tool tip in the ship designer and possibly the ship descriptions (when you mouse over the ship) that explains what that role is for.
Ship roles determine combat attack order of ships in the other roles. For more information regarding ship roles see the Galciv3 wiki. https://wiki.galciv.com/index.php?title=Starships#Determining_Roles
Galciv4 uses the same combat ship roles. However, there is talk that this mechanic might be phased out soon in favor of a better mechanic for determining what ship attacks what ship based on the ships class and not its role.
There is way to much information about the roles of each ship class to add into a tool tip.
