DSO is an end tech that can be researched over and over and over again.
However, you only get the reward once.
So, neither the cybernetics you posted about, or DSO are bugs they are WAD.
1 Thank you for your reply. It is unclear from anywhere other than your post that DSO is an end tech (others say ‘capstone’) or that end techs can be researched more than once but only get the benefit once.
2 Do you feel like I’m over posting or over reporting? 3 If so, how could I have done these last two posts better? 4 Are these pieces of information readily available elsewhere and I’ve missed them? 5 I don’t think it’s unreasonable to expect to continue to get the benefit from a tech that the game gives you the option to research more than once.
6 Please note, my cybernetics post was under feedback not bug reports, as I assumed that there was something I was missing (not implemented vs other).
1 In the tech selection screen at the bottom left there are two buttons one reads Tech Navigator if you select it, you get the tech tree. There is an area on the bottom left where you can type in what you are looking for, I typed for DSO and found it at the end of the branch so assumed it was a capstone.
This might not be the case with DSO if it is not a capstone tech it should not be able to be researched over and over thus a bug, not that you don't get more speed but that you can re-research it.
So, it should be mentioned. The best place is here or on the Discord page for GCIV either the commons gc4 thread if you are not sure it is a bug or in bugs-typos-goofs if you are.
2/3 It might be better to start a Muse 27s observations and bugs thread but while I am a Mod on Discord, I cannot speak for the ones here.
4 Discord and the GC4 wiki. The wiki is a work in progress.
5 Capstone techs are meant to be used when you run out of techs, I am not sure if the bonus given on first discovery is supposed to repeat or not.
As an aside as early as DSO is in the tech tree you have to have many more techs to research and speed is not as important as in previous versions of this franchise.
6 That was me being too lazy to post the same thing in both your threads. Plus, I don't browse the sub threads just the main forum that shows all new posts. So, while I did notice that your two posts were in different subs, I felt that one answer in one thread would suffice, my bad if it offended.
