I'm not talking about the the Fog of War but the background fog that surrounds the space around the stars and planets and ships. Its very annoying and distracting. How do I get just a clean black background?
Options --> Interface --> Nebula Opacity
Set it to a value that gives what you like. Use 0 to turn it off.
