Hey, someone new to Stardock's games here.

On gog.com, I've had my eye on Sorcerer King for quite some time now, thinking it was somewhat like Heroes of Might and Magic.

This weekend's promo/sale over there includes a lot of games by Stardock. In this promo I also saw Fallen Enchantress.

When searching on YouTube and the rest of the web to compare and see which I'd like better, I found out that they are part of the same series, and that the genre isn't (S)RPG but a blend of that and something called 4X (something I am unfamiliar with).

Now for the core of my question: Out of the 3 options below, which is for a 4X newcomer like me (but fan of RPGs and SRPGs) the best one to pick?

- Sorcerer King - According to reviews, the 4X bit is simplified. Downside to me is that it seems to be the second part (will I mis much lore if I start here?)

- Fallen Enchantress - Seems to be the 1st (or a remake thereof?), but also more pricey (double)

- Galactic Civilizations II - Quite cheap in this sale, and it seems to be a very well received game in the 4X-genre. (personally leaning more toward fantasy than Sci-Fi, but this one might be a good one to see if I like the genre)
