Game crashing on save and end turn

Does anyone know why this is happening? I'm not playing with any modes. First it originally crashed because it said it was out of memory. Which could only happen if the RAM is capped because of 32 bit software.

 

But anyway after that the game crashes any time I try to save or end a turn. No matter what I try it keeps doing it. Does anyone know a fix?

 

EDIT: I uninstalled it and now it's not even dling due to a disk write error...

Unfortunately it is happening to me also (first the out of memory message) - although mine crashes on save not on end of turn. Very frustrating since it has never happened like this for years and years.  I'm on Steam btw and am using the Community Update.

 

UPDATE: I installed the program that increases memory usage from 2-4 mbs in the launch file and run from the desktop (rather then in Steam) and all seems to be good.  Thx for the tips in the forums.
