Got GalCiv during early alpha but unfortunately have only been able to play when this latest update came out.
Having a lot of fun so far, reminds me of the days of GalCiv 2!
Just posting some observations I have had so far (some of these might have already been mentioned):
Bugs/Errors:
- Some grammar errors in the texts (i.e Completion for 'The Path of Joy' message has peace spelt as pease, which I believe is a type of desert)
- When hovering over research or buildings, the text explaining what it does is sometimes cut off.
- When a constructor merges with a starbase it sometimes gets put into the defence fleet slot and also gives you the module upgrade. This effectively gives you two constructors for the price of one.
- Not sure if this is intentional, but the event which gives you a free building can 'complete' an economic stimulus (for example). Just seems a bit bizarre that this could happen with something that doesn't complete.
- Overall happiness of empire read 99 when all colonies were 100.
Suggestions:
- Ability to prioritize construction of buildings/ships (an ability to move queued projects without deleting the ones in-front).
- Too many credit awards from surveying anomalies. More variety of bonuses. Would also be nice to receive negative 'bonuses'.
- Another event like the instant completion of a random building but for ships or starbase modules.
- This one is a bit funny, AI colonized a planet in my area of influence and its was immediately annexed to me. Not sure what to suggest about this one...
Bit tired when writing this, hope it makes somewhat sense. Loving the game (more than Beyond Earth).
