I recently found GalCiv 2 on my hard drive and fired it up.  However, I noticed at the race creation screen that there were no profile pictures for any of the races except the custom race.  There were also no race flags/symbols.

I thought nothing of it until I got to the shipyard screen in the game and got ready to build my own ships only to discover that there are no images for any of the parts and I am unable to make any ships.  I searched for my CDs and finally found them, reinstalled the game, and discovered that nothing had changed.

Is this a known error?  I searched here but couldn't find anything specific to what I am experiencing.  Any ideas or suggestions as to how to fix it?  Here is a screen cap to show you what my problem looks like.
