Getting expansion ...

TA or DA + TA

I just dug GalCiv2 out and am having tons of fun, enough to buy an expansion I think.  I'm just curious do I need to buy both, or will just buying TA get me up to date?

Also is there a comprehensive patch list somewhere?  Or an up to date reference of building costs&benefits?

You don't "have" to buy both, but having both is worthwhile as I enjoyed both expansions very much.  Cost wise you can get the expansion bundle for a better deal.

Yeah I'm been lurking for a bit.

Obviously I don't have to buy anything, and while I got great enjoyment out of civ1, I wouldn't buy it today, nor recommend it to someone buying civ5; hence my question if buying TA alone will get me the most recent complete (I have DL) version & updates.

Some googling and reading turned up the answer:

NOTE: Requires Galactic Civilizations II: Dread Lords and Galactic Civilizations II: Dark Avatar or Gold Edition. Available Now.

Thus obviously I need both.

The expansions even out a great game!!  If you can spare the cash, I say go for it, you cant go wrong.
