As per the subtitle, this is probably just the result of turning on a setting of which I wasn't aware, but... well, i'd appreciate some help figuring it out. Needless to say, something that is probably very easy to sort out but still has me stumped doesn't contribute well to the "galactic emperor" feeling...
This has only started happening today, but every time I start up a new game ("sandbox" mode, as i'm still figuring things out) I am automatically placed into a "Team" relationship with one of the other empires. I thought it might've been a fringe benefit for the race i'd created, but the same thing happens even with races i've played without this happening before. I'm running V2.03 without any mods, if that's useful to know.
(Apologies if this doesn't make as much sense as i'd hoped. Today's excuse: Lousy day at the day-job.)
