Hi, I have returned to play this game recently.  My last game was new and different as all the majors and one minor race all declared war on me within one game month in the 3rd year (2227).  I play Suicidal (Huge) with all races on their highest difficulty levels (as for me, I play a Custom race).  I had a regular start and wiped out the nearby Yor first.  Next I took out two minors for their juicy planets and then the Thalans.  After I took out the Thalans all the trouble started with the Arcaens and Drengins declaring. The Arcaens had been neutral or warm and  the Drengins were neutral.  The other races followed suit within 3 game weeks.  Even the Dark Yor declared.  So I had 7 majors and a minor at war with me.  I checked my popularity and it was in the toilet.  I bribed all but the Arcaens back from at-war to cool.  They all declared on me within 2 game months.  I fought them for 4 game years before extinguishing (conquering) them.  My question is why do they admit they made a mistake in attacking me and then not accept a cease-fire for any length of time?  I have a feeling it is the popularity value but I haven't seen this documented.  Any help would be appreciated.
