force ai to use max cpu

is there any noticeable difference in the ai's behavior if i use this option?

IIRC with the MAxCPU set, AIs (re)design ships more often, not only once a year.

I always play with this setting enabled, but on one instance I forgot. The AIs still redesigned their ships more than once a year, although they didn't upgrade existing ships to the new designs that I saw.
