1980 resolution in GalCiv II

I bought a new monitor that is 1980 x 1080 resolution (default).

When I load my GalCiv II, I can hear it play but I can't see anything because it is configured for my old 1650 x 1080 (or something like 1200) resolution.

How can I configure my GalCiv II for a higher resolution, like 1980 x 1080, without starting the program? I would like to be able to open a config. sys file for GalCiv and edit a line to change the resolution.

I know many of you out there are old geeks like me and remember editing DOS files. If you are one of those, I am sure you can help my config my game to play again.

Open the 'Prefs.ini' file, and find lines that look like this (they should be near the top):

[Video]
DisplayWidth=1024
DisplayHeight=768
ColorDepth=32
Fullscreen=1
*****************
