Well, avatars are easy. You can make them yourself or find somebody to do it for you. You just find an image, crop it to be 100x100 and upload. If you want transparencies (so its not a square, like mine), use a program that supports layers, remove the background later, and save it as a PNG.
I recommend GIMP if you want a free program to help with cropping your image. Its great for changing file sizes/resolutions, bluring together, and all sorts of other edits. its not quite photoshop, but it costs a lot less for sure ( $500 vs. $0 [donation/support if you are a nice guy]). And it is much better than MS paint (another $0 program which should never be used to scale images, can't really blur or do any other touch-up edits, and doesn't support transparencies or layers)
