I have a strange problem. Dread lords works okay up to the little thing that says "Play the Game, Manual, Update etc." but when I click on play the game I just get a black box in the top left (which is 1024x768 in size) and the game freezes there. I have no debug.err file as I guess I havn't got the game started enough for it to generate one. I have updated my video card drivers (GeForce 8800GTX) and updated directx to the november release. I have also re-downloaded the entire game and it still does the extact same thing (I am running XP ... fully updated SP3 and the newer stuff). My best guess is that maybe I am missing some sort of Codec required to view the intro video, but DA & TA work 100%. Do they use different codecs for the intro video than dread lords ? Any Help would be great ! .... oh BTW last time I played it (Probably over 6 months ago now) dread lords worked 100%
