A little feature I would like to see (in 2.0?)

Ship combat history

What I would really love to see is somewhere in the Ship Details screen a button that would show the history for the ship.  In other words, if I have a level 11 battleship, it would really be great to be able to click on the ship and see all the battles that it was in.  The ship went into service at a specified date from a specified planet.  Then on such a date it destroyed Drengin Heavy Fighter 38, on another date it was a part of fleet such-and-such which engaged and destroyed 3 Yor Cruisers, and on another date it attacked Korath planet X and took out 3 Korath Defenders, etc.

It would be really a great way to dive into a detailed history of a ship's exploits in the galaxy.

That would be a fun feature to have...very good idea.

That certainly would be interesting, and IIRC most or at least some of that info is located within the debugg.err af any game it may not be too hard to implement. Though i doubt in time for 2.0, GC3 perhaps?

Wow.

How much time would it take to go through the histories of hundreds, if not thousands, of ships - just for the fluff of seeing what other ships they have destroyed?

Would it make any difference in how you upgraded it? Or in any other way?

Personally, I don't want the devs to waste their time on such irrelevant nonsense.

If you really want such a thing, then spend your own time to create your own mod for it.

In your opinion. Perhaps SD could implement the idea and YOU could mod it out.....I personally didnt want the Devs to waste their time and resources redoing the tech trees for TA.

Does that make the tech trees a pure waste of time and resources cause i think they are irrelevant nonsense.

I often keep track of multi level ships and rename them after famous ships throughout history. Having a history for those ships could well lead to an interesting AAR.
