I said I'd get Galactic Civilization 2, and guess what?  I did.

I got the gold version at Best buy.

Welcome!

Be sure to get the expansions as well, DA adds a lot of new features and TA, while still beta, is already very playable and near release!

I'd say cut your teeth on DA and skip DL. The changes in DA make the game play so much better.
