Sometimes I miss Earth, wonder what it's like now, even though I already know: either a Drengin slag heap,or a Dead Lord fortress. Thankfully, we'll never know. We knew the Drengin were biding thier time, waiting for the right time to strike. We knew we--and billions more would be dead if we didn't do something soon. We did, and we survived. I think my father, Damien Bristow, knew, or at least thought what was going to happen as soon as hostilities began. Or matbe he found out somehow. He's dead now, so I guess I'll never know. Whether he knew from the start or not, he quietly put out the word that the Drengin were planning something, and his grand conspiricy: flee Earth and find a new home. As you can probobly imagine, he wasn't warmly received, but he did get some followers, and not just Terran citizens, either. Somehow, the word spread to the alien cvilazations, and he got swarms of followers. However, when he saw the war slowly leaning in the Alliance's favor, he thought about dissolving his organization, the Second Genesis. Then, the Drengin let the Dread Lords out of their cage. I don't know what happened next, I wasn't even born yet, to tell the truth. When he found out about this, and I don't know how he did, given that the didcoverty of a race of god-like beings would be pretty scret. Regaredless of hoe he found out he gathered his followers and they formed a plan: a planet had been diccovered, farther than anyone had traveled. The colony ship, TAS Utopia was going to depart on July 23rd, 2225. Arming themselves my father and his followers stormed the ship before it was to be launched the next day, and took off. They were chased by fighters, but none fired a shot, not being able to brign themselves to attacking an unarmed colony ship. The hyperwarp enginesd on the Utopia hadn't been tested until he switched over from impulse and engaged them, screaming off toword the planet. When they landed on thier new home the colonists stepped out, on a new home having ran from the coming onsalught. The planet slowly came to life, with villiges, then towns, and finaly cites slowly developing across the planet. However, this prosperity didn't last long, as old racial tensions soon flared up. On the one side was a faction of humans, Altarians and Torians calling themselves the Illumanate didn't think the "enemy races," the Drath and Thalans, as well as the small Yor population, should have come, since they were allied with the Drengin. On the other, the so-called enemiy races, as well as a smattering of humans, one of which was my father, united and formed the Crimson Knights, effectivly splitting the planet in two. You can probobly guess what happened next: civil war. Brother against brother, sona gainst other, friend against friend. For years it dragged on, the Crimson Knights and Illumanate fighting for control. The Crimson Knights eventually won, and my father installed himself as the leaderof the planet. Eventually, he married an Altarian by the name of Zandra. I weas born soon, but Dad was killed by a mugger when I was a kid. Zandra took command of the planet, while slowly teaching me how to lead others. She suddenly died when I was twenty. No warning, no apparent cause, leavign me with an entire planet to lead. sometimes I think the Drengin will come calling, but if they do, they'll soon regret the day the heard the words "Free Terran Refuge."
