When someone says Chaos, I'm thinking "Blackstone fortress".
For Tau, it's a bit more difficult, as they're not really into big massive ships. It might be the Custodian class, but you've probably already got that in as a capship. Maybe the Kroot Warsphere?
we thought about each of these pretty hard, and while we like the blackstones, implementing them would be rather hard as a mobile force like the planet killer, because chaos' focus is really on the heavy caps vying for glory and killing loads of imperials along the way as well as their focus on the attack. If you have any ideas, i'd absolutely love to hear them, because I want to have a reason to put blackstones ingame.
About the warsphere, it's a good idea, but iirc a retrubution class battleship tore a warsphere to shreds through "fire superiority" (old tau codex, section on the damocles gulf crusade, so while big and scary, it's kind of slow and undergunned. While I like the idea, the lore rejects it too harshly. The tau are kind of hard to brainstorm because that's the only big scary thing they have in their lore other than crazy good diplomats and traders.
Also, we have plans (and I have the .entity files for chaos and some for tau) to make all ships for all races, and all the variants of ships for the shorter-handed races, so if you really like a ship in either the standard rules or armada, it will be in the mod (eventually).
