Well, this is it. I just got GC2, set up a game, everything's gone smoothly for a day or so's worth of turns. My empire's doing fine and of course, the AI's are being stupid since I set the Intelligence level pretty low just to get a feel for the game.
Anyway, here's my Uber-Newber question: An AI Civ was about to colonize a world in a system where I'd already colonized one. I had a couple homemade "fighter" type warships in orbit that could intercept it and was willing to start a war to keep him from colonizing the planet.
But...
I couldn't find the "Declare War" option, anywhere!
I went through the diplo screen and could only set up a proxy war (Attack... option).
I right clicked on his ship with my fighters and they went and "said hello". (i.e. did nothing)
I went to my government/politics screen and couldn't find anything.
Finally, I even RTFM, but to no avail.
So please...I'm begging now...someone tell an old Civ-series warmonger how to cause chaos and death and destruction on an interstellar level (without genetically changing into a Drengin warlord, that is)?
