Newbie here,
I only got like 30 hours in, but I'm really enjoying the game so far. Some questions (ranked in importance to me):
1) At beginnning of turn, when my constructor arrives at one of my 50 odd starbases asking if I want to upgrade it how do I know where it is? ( I mean, with names like Starbase 1051 I can't really remember which one it is at that point ) And assuming I say "yes", it doesn't say what it already has. So how do I make an informed decision at this point without saying "no" then go find it on the map, look at what it has and then move my constructor back onto it.
2) The guidebook says, "Starbases are stationary platforms that can be built in any parsec that doesn't contain a planet or star." - this doesn't seem to be the case - infact after building like 30 in empty parsecs I thought I'd try building an Influence starbase right next to a foreign planet I wanted, and not too long later it rebelled and became mine. So it seems to me that Starbases, Influence ones anyway, are best built near planets. And maybe Economic Starbases would be best next to a planet that I have a bunch of Stock Exchanges on, no? What's the deal?
3)When I take over a nice juicy planet and the previous tenants were building things all bass-ackwards (like a factory on 300% research bonus square) - I am unable to set things to right. I can't seem to upgrade buildings to what they should be. How do I do this?
4) I can't seem to find a legend anywhere that tells me what the various icons next to a planet mean. URL please?
5) Rally points are great for telling me how long it'll be until whatever arrives there, but how do I find out what it was I sent there in case I want to redirect it?
I'll save other questions for another post...
Thanks for any answers folks...
