I do feel for people who either don't have Internet access or a dial up only as it has almost become manditory now to fix a game by the many, often large, downloads that seem to follow within a short period of time a games release. I am not writing about extra game functionality or incompatability with hardware, nor am I referring to this game only, but there does seem to be very few games released today that do not need fixing, and often, through patches due to bugs that seem to be missed, possibly because of pressure to get the game out of development and / or a poorly implemented testing phase.
For me the only thing worse than the above is a game that is released a little early that never gets fixed. At least with Brad you have the impression that there are a team of people who actually care about the game that they designed as well as the people who bought it.
The OP might want to consider scheduling the downloads through the night when the PC might be free...?
