Hallo! Bei der deutschen Version ist sogar einiges gar nicht uebersetzt.Mittlerweile haben wir Ende April.Ist abzusehen wann mal ein brauchbarer deutscher patch kommt?

Der Weg zu einer brauchbaren deutschen 1.1 wird immer besser, es sind derzeit mehrere Leute dabei den Kram für Paradox anzupassen Das nächste Update das es in dieser Richtung geben wird wird viiiiiieeeeele Rechtschreib- und Formulierungsfehler beheben (ca. 1500 geänderte Sätze, also komplettte Umstellung oder Tippfehlerkorrekturen). Wenn wir mit dem Abgleichen fertig sind (jeder hat natürlich erstmal selber änderungen gemacht, so dass man nun alles zusammentragen muß) geht das an Paradox raus. Paradox und Stardock sind schon vorgewarnt und der Kram kommt dann als Update.
Bitte also nur noch ein wenig Geduld

I just activated my German version and that worked fine.

Just one problem: When I entered the code to get the bonus content for the Collectors' Edition, and hit "Download", I got the "GalCiv2_10X_BonusPack_030806.exe" instead the file with the actual bonus content, for this particular patch downgraded the game to 1.1.

Did you guys mess up the link for the download or is that another problem with the codes for the German-version game?

It's a little bit confusing, there are two downloads one for "bonus content" and one for "activation". The "bonuscontent" is already included in the 1.1-patch, all you need is the activation. I cannot give you the link because the site is broken at the moment but it's at the bottom of the page https://www.galciv2.com/collectorsedition/ .

I have a few problems with my registration and updates.
Actually it's just one problem: I can't activate/register the game with my serialnumber(s).

I got the german limited edition and tried to update the game manually.
First with the download of 1.1 from the page the startmenu of the game sent me to.
After installing it I started the game and had to insert emailaddress (made a sdc account already) and serialnumber but with both numbers it just said "error activating the product" or "invalid registration".
Then I searched the forums and tried it with sdc (after reinstalling the game 2 times) but there I couldn't activate the game either.

Tried several kinds of typing in the number using capital letters, using gc2-xxx and the other number.
Used the cd key option from the startmenu (which seems to do nothing).
Tried to use the "serialnumber send to emailaddress" option of sdc but because of buying it in a store and not online it didn't sent me any codes.
I have NO idea what I'm doing wrong - please help me.
Couldn't find any thread or post with a similar problem in the forums.

Although I didn't have any problems with the game after reinstalling it for a third time (except no sound in the intro) I wouldn't want to miss the bonuscontent and updates of course.

I have no serials in my email from sdc.
The registration in sdc fails because of a difference of the emailaddress I enter trying to register it and the one I used purchasing it (that's what the errormessage is telling me).
But that makes no sense because I never purchased the game through sdc and therefore never entered another address than the one I used creating the sdc account with which I'm trying to register the game.

I read about that third serial somewhere, that's why I tried that option in sdc (5 times....because it was sent to my junkmail section) but thanks for your help.

edit: Tried to register the game with sdc before and after updating it to 1.1.

Wie kann das sein, das es mehrere Sicherheitscodes für mehrere Serviceleistungen geben muß.
Irgendwo hört der Sicherheitswahn doch mal echt auf.
Ich konnte Gal2 problemlos spielen (abgesehen von ein paar Bugs), kaum lade ich mir Stardock herunter, werden Codes abgefragt, wobei nur hier im Netz steht, welchen man für welche Abfrage benötigt. Das Ende der Geschichte ist, ich habe anscheinend den falschen Code eingegeben, und kann Gal2 jetzt noch nicht mal mehr starten.
Nun geht nix mehr!!!! Ich habe mein Geld für ein Spiel das nicht funktioniert zum Fenster hinausgeworfen. Das einzige was ich falsch gemacht habe, war mich online für dieses Produkt registrieren zu lassen.
Vielleicht kann mir ja jemand sagen was man nu macht. Ich hab das Spiel sogar schon neu installiert. Eine Veränderung ist mir aufgefallen, die Autorun.exe hat sich in eine NoAutorun.exe verwandelt. Was bitte schön ist hier schiefgelaufen???

Ich hab heute Abend einen Link von Stardock bekommen wo die das mit bildern schritt für schritt beschreiben.
Aber ich habe heute mittag das Spiel deinstalliert und neu aufgespielt und werde das erstmal so weiter laufen lassen bis der erste patch auf deutsch raus kommt

If activation from within the games fails or gives you an error, you can also activate from Stardock Central. Simply click on Games, then Galactic Civilizations II. Right-click on Galactic Civilizations II and select "Activate with Logging" from the menu. This will activate your copy of GalCiv2.

If this does not work for some reason (incorrect serial number, upgrade patch downloaded from 3rd party site instead of Stardock/GalCiv2 website, etc.), there is an alternative activation method located here:
