Before we get started I feel I need to clear this up: I like this game.//
For all you people that complain about the bugs and issues of this game, sure it is reasonable to agrre that this game is premature and not at its fullest potential as of yet. Rest asured that stardock will fix these things for us. One could argue there are serious gameplay issues that make one question if the game has been tested throughly. These gameplay issues (not ctds/system specific/driver bugs) have been there as everyone was testing the AI, which in turn makes most AI conclusions and AI tweaks based on bugs, inherited corrupt testing that is. This has destroyed my illusion of this game. The illusion that you are actually not just sitting infront of a machine and handling Ones and Zeroes.
Some newly implemented updates:
+ Social Production Ability enabled.
(major feature broke all the way through testing?)
+ Trade Goods and Galactic Achievements now transfer their benefits
when ownership of them changes. In the case of Trade Goods, ownership
of the Trade Good is transferred and the old owner no longer has use of
the Trade Good.
(Just one example of failure.)
+ Lots of AI tweaks to improve social handlings, particularly for the
Terran Alliance AI.
(Well. Changing the AI? These changes cant have been tested so excecively...)
These are just examples of the serious flaws of this game.
With all this been said (just for the sake that im not baised) my point is: BUY THIS GAME.
What you do when you buy this game is to use your power as a consumer to premiere indie groups that with a lot of hard work makes games for the gamers. Even if you are not going to play it (yet): BUY IT! It is an investment for your future as a gamer. And if you just give them developers a little time, they will have cleaned out any trace of a bug as soon as they possibly can. I think.
