Having never heard of GalCiv 1 I stumbled across the GalCiv 2 website by accident and fell in love. For almost the entire month befor the release I was glued to the website and when Feb 21st rolled around I searched my local stores for the game and ...... Couldnt find it anywhere. Over the next couple of days I kept looking and still could not find it so I decided to Download it from Stardock. I was very please with how easy it was to download and Install the game and was incredibly happy as I set out upon the first mission.

After eight times trying to beat the first mission I finaly beat the drengin by taking all four worlds and leaving them with just there homeworld.

I could not figure out (and still cant) how they managed to out resorce, research, and produce me. I have tried to look up some things on the website and most people say build factories and produce ships etc. All though some of these things help it still does not explain what a factory does, what a lab does, what exactly does moving my slider for spending do?

I have looked over the manual and it does offer some help but not to the depth that this game needs and so I turn to the forums, the last great bastion of humanity!
