Better algorithms for combat viewer

Hi, just got a quick question for the developers? I was wondering if you guys plan to have better algorithms for the camera in the combat viewer perhaps in a future patch? Its a great feature, but right now for the life of me I cant find a good camera to give me a good view of the battle.

While the combat viewer is a great toy, I wholeheartedly agree with the original poster. Right now I can live with just the top down view, but I don't feel like it gives the battles justice : )

there are many camera views to choose from, even a free camera view

The Topdown view is indeed the clearest one. All others are usually behind one of your ships and totally hides the enemy. The cinematic one just loops through the other styles. Not great. The free cam could be nice but moving around with the mouse is quite slow :/

I agree 100%. There is a need for a camera that follows the action better. In the screenshots everything looked great but it in practice it isn't that good.

I think the free camera mode is quite sufficient, but I agree it is a little slow zooming in and out
