Not multiplayer at all?

This has probably been gone over a thousand times and I'm sorry if I'm asking it again but I can't seem to find anything in the forums.

Now, I've seen it very definately said there is no online multiplayer, but is there LAN or Hot-seat multiplayer?

I dont know how you couldnt find it since the post originate by Frogboy, developer and owner of Stardock, explaining why there is no multiplayer is stickied at the top of the forum page. Also there have been about 10 posts asking about multiplayer. Hence the stickied post. This appears to be an attempted troll post. I did my best to resist flaming. Sorry mods if it comes off that way.

Yeah, like an idiot I found it all after I posted and I can't seem to find a delete post option. You ever look at something and not see it untill someone points it out to you?

I didn't mean to come off as a troll, if I was gonna be I would've just posted something about how this game sucks. Which is doesn't, I'm really excited about this game.

Don't worry.  It's a common and reasonable question to ask after all.

As a multiplayer addict myself I would normally expect multiplayer as well.  That's why I posted why we didn't.  GalCiv is the only PC game we make that isn't multiplayer. So there's a good reason for it.

If I may answer this one.

Because Multiplayer will be added in expansion pack if there is enough demand for it.

Are you crazy? Quick, someone distract Frogboy before he gets wrong ideas! I mean, I don't miss MP and if they put it in an expansion that's reasonable, but this.... Wait ANOTHER month?

Because that would satisfy the 3 very loud proponents of MP and deeply upset the other 99.99% of fans who want it now and don't care about MP.... that's why not!

We are way past shooting the horse. We are lobbing 200cm artillery shells at it now. The horse has long since turned into a puddle and vapor. I don't see how this multiplayer thing can get anymore ridiculous.
